Environmental and Vocational ‘Training the Trainers’ Programmes
In some of the regions in which EDW is working, the ‘vocational core skills base’ upon which to found a business is very low or non-existent.
This is especially so in a number of the rural areas in, for example, Africa or Cambodia. This problem is very often compounded by environmental degradation. To address these issues, the EDW team combines vocational ‘training the trainer’ programmes in sustainable environmental and agricultural best practices, and other vocational skills, with our internationally tested model of holistic business incubation.
Those fully trained impart their skills and knowledge to the beneficiaries, through environmental and other core skills vocational training. These skills are in such areas as alternative approaches to agriculture, sustainable building techniques, the development of safe water supplies and water management practices, and environmentally sustainable approaches to carpentry and associated forestry.
