Development Director – Australasia / Oceania
Richard Strudwick spent a number of years working in Marketing, Advertising and Media Sales before moving into the world of enterprise and youth support.
He has designed and delivered enterprise workshops and entrepreneurship and employment programmes for thousands of GCSE and A Level students across London, managing a team working in schools and colleges across London and the South East of England.
Working with educational establishments, government bodies, blue chip businesses and, specifically, young people, Richard has developed a real understanding of the needs of young people and the enormous benefits associated with understanding enterprise, investigating self-employment and cultivating an enterprising attitude.
Richard worked as Development Manager for the EDW team on the UK-wide youth enterprise incubation project youngbusiness.net UK, delivering capacity building support to six enterprise centres based in London, Birmingham and the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, as well as supporting the sister programme delivering in Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
Currently based in Sydney, Australia, Richard focuses his attention on raising awareness of the EDW model internationally, proactively sourcing new partners and clients and linking our many contacts with potential funders and supporters. Richard also continues to support a wide group of charitable and youth organisations and still runs enterprise education seminars in schools and universities.
