Liz Mackie BA (Hons), MA, MIED

Liz Mackie has over 15 years experience of local and regional urban economic development work, gained in the public, voluntary and private sectors.

Liz’s extensive experience as a practitioner is backed by a First Class Honours Degree in Sociology from the University of York and a Masters Degree with Distinction in Race Relations from the University of Warwick.

Liz is an experienced consultant, researcher and adviser. She has particular experience in designing and conducting research which addresses race equality issues in economic development, regeneration, education and enterprise and has worked extensively with a wide range of clients in government and in the voluntary and private sectors.   

Previous positions held by Liz include that of Director of Greater London Strategies and Senior Development Officer, Wandsworth Borough Council. She also spent some time in the early nineties working for the Government of Botswana, providing advice on a government vocational training centre. Liz is a Director of the Gilfillan Partnership, which specialises in economic development advice.
