Emmet Byrne, Enterprise Development Worldwide’s Company Secretary, has been a Trustee of Wandsworth Youth Enterprise Centre (WYEC) since 2003 and Chair of Trident Business Centre since 2007.
Emmet lives locally and has a keen interest in enterprise and development. A qualified accountant by profession, Emmet has held a range of senior directorship and management roles in both start-up and blue chip companies, with responsibility for multi-million pound budgets.
Emmet is Group Finance Director at BDA International, a creative agency that provides brand strategy, promotion, communication and design services to broadcasters, advertisers and corporations worldwide. The company offers a one-stop solution for their clients, producing the highest quality creative work in the field of brand identity, broadcast design, promotions and corporate communications. Since the company was launched over eight years ago, it has grown from a team of three to become a 100 strong international corporation with offices in London, Munich, Dubai, Singapore and Sydney.
Before joining BDA International, Emmet was Finance Director of Evolutions, a leading post-production business based in London. Prior to that, he was Finance Director for Granada plc’s International Production and Distribution Division. This Division was tasked with establishing and growing Granada’s programme production operations overseas.
Emmet has held several other senior finance positions, including that of Financial Controller for Two Way TV Limited, a company involved in the development and commercial launch of interactive services for digital TV programmes distributed throughout the cable and satellite broadcasters.
