A ‘satellite’ approach bringing enterprise support to rural villages
A participant in the youngbusiness.net programme, Cegled Youth Enterprise Centre has four business incubation units, accommodated within the Secondary School of Economics, Infomatics and Technology.
Founded in 2001 and operating in a rural setting, Cegled Youth Enterprise Centre has, within its catchment area, a large number of small villages with relatively high unemployment among young people. A ‘satellite’ model has been developed to enable a peripatetic counsellor to work effectively, using local amenities, to deliver the support programmes to young people for whom access to the main centre in Cegled would prove a barrier.
